Flood Claim
A flood is an overwhelming experience. Taking quick action will help you regain control of your business even in your most troublesome of times. The following steps cover what to do in the event of a flood claim.
- Contact Consolidated National Insurers, Inc. to report your claim loss. If it is after hours, contact our 24/7 Claims service by clicking here. A CNI claims employee will work with you to see if a restoration company should be dispatched to your home or business to assist. If you are reporting a claim after hours, please click here.
- Separate your property into damaged property and undamaged property. Do not throw anything away before the adjuster has seen it, unless local law requires you to. In this case, take photos of the property before disposing of it and keep samples for the adjuster to see.
- Make a list of damaged contents. List the quantity of each item, description, brand name, where purchased, its cost, model and serial number, and your estimate of the loss amount. Attach your bills, receipts, photos and any other documentation.
- List areas of structural damage. Look over the property and make a list of any areas of structural damage that you want to point out to the insurance adjuster.
To expedite your claims process, please call your insurance carrier directly at the phone number listed with your carrier on the Carrier Information page. You can also follow the link to their claims page for more information or to file a claim electronically.
